Each June, the national safety council encourages to getinvolved and participate in National Safety month. NSM is anannual observance to educate and influence behaviors aroundleading causes of preventable injuries and deaths.
This year’s theme,” Safety Starts with me “, was inspired by thepillar of leadership and employee engagement from the Journey tosafety excellence. Successful organizations engage everyone insafety and create a culture where people feel a personnelresponsibility not only for their own safety, but for that of theircoworkers, family and friends. While leadership from top isimportant, creating a culture where there is a sense of ownership ofsafety by all, males everyone in one organization a safety leader.
Each week in June carries a theme that brings attention to criticalsafety issues.
